Overview

Marin Community Clinics, founded in 1972, is today, a multi-clinic network with a wide array of integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide vital health services to almost 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County. The Clinics regularly receive national awards from the Health Resources and Services Administrations (HRSA). Our Mission is to promote health and wellness through excellent, compassionate care for all.

 

Locums Physician is responsible for providing medical diagnosis, treatment services and managing quality health care services to patients of Marin Community Clinics. Physician provides quality care to patients, consistent with his/her training and expertise, and appropriate to the ambulatory care setting provided.

 

Local candidates preferred - 
  • Resides within Marin County or within a commutable distance preferred. 
  • Bilingual - Spanish desired.
  • Current California medical license to practice. 
  • NP/PA's with up to 3 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Locums status - temporary, full time or part time work hours.
  • Lenght of assignment 3-6+ months. 

Responsibilities

  • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with staff and patients.
  • Performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve clinic goals and objectives, as directed by the Medical Director. 
  • Care team responsibilities as outlined in the Care Team Patient Center Medical Home Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid and unrestricted license issued by the Medical Board of California to practice medicine.
  • Board certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty.
  • Medical Doctor with three 3-5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical
  • Current registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) allowing the prescription of drugs.
  • Prior experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) a plus.
  • EPIC Electronic Health Records (EHR) experiences a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged standing, walking, and prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times and move medical equipment.
  • Fine motor hand movements typical of performing standard Pediatrician job duties.
  • Able to read charts graphs and readings on medical equipment.

Covid-19 Vaccinations and Booster Requirements:

 All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including current booster as a condition of employment, subject to limited exemptions. If you completed your primary series and early boosters, but have not received the most recent booster, you will be required to get the most recent booster and mask until completed.
