We’re seeking a passionate and dynamic Manager, Behavioral Health Fellowship Program to lead the development, coordination, and implementation of our Behavioral Health Fellowship Program. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in behavioral health and training management to make a real impact on the future of mental health care. This role will also manage our Clinical Supervisor and provide supervision to other junior practitioners in Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development & Implementation: Design and update training modules that address emerging trends in behavioral health. Ensure content is up-to-date, evidence-based, and engaging.
  • Program Oversight: Manage the fellowship training schedule, ensuring that all program deliverables are met on time and to a high standard.
  • Mentorship & Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to fellows, helping them navigate their training, develop professionally, and reach their full potential.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, community partners, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess the effectiveness of training materials and methodologies, using data to enhance the learning experience.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a team of trainers and specialists, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California for at least 2 years required.
  • Valid California State License and Registration required.
  • Two years of post-license experience required.
  • Completion of the supervision training required by BBS.
  • Experience developing curriculum aligned with evidence base practices.
  • Experience providing instruction, mentorship, and support to developing clinicians.
  • Experience and comfort in aiding difficult conversations, escalations, and other complex interpersonal situations.
  • Highly trained in motivational interviewing.
  • Experience in treating substance use disorders and other addictive disorders.
  • Experience as a BH generalist: competent and comfortable treating children, adolescents, adults, the elderly; those with mild or moderate BH needs, as well as those with more severe mental illness. 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Must be able to communicate with patients and partners in Effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the public in Spanish.
  • Strong preference for a candidate than can conduct clinical assessment interviews and case management interventions with patients in Spanish.
  • Able to provide effective instruction and support for BH Fellows enrolled in MCC Fellowship program.
  • Familiarity with psychopharmacology is helpful.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team preferably in a primary care
  • Must be fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write in English reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must be able to conduct brief assessments and intervention interviews with
  • Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office software programs, and how to conduct searches on the Internet.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This position is currently a hybrid telework/in-clinic.
  • Prolonged standing and walking.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to drive to clinics and other locations in the community.
