Marin Community Clinics, founded in 1972, is today, a multi-clinic network with a wide array of integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide vital health services to almost 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County. The Clinics regularly receive national awards from the Health Resources and Services Administrations (HRSA). Physician (Family or Internal medicine) is responsible for providing medical diagnosis, treatment services and managing quality health care services to patients of Marin Community Clinics. The Physician provides quality care to patients consistent with his/her training and expertise, and appropriate to the ambulatory care setting provided. Physician performs as a primary care provider (PCP) with a patient panel.
Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for a specified patient population.
Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
Maintains a professional relationship with staff and patients.
Performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve clinic goals and objectives, as directed by the Medical Director.
Care team responsibilities as outlined in the Care Team Patient Center Medical Home Procedures.
In addition to regularly scheduled shifts, is able to work a minimum of three (3) 4-hour Saturday shifts per calendar year, providing medical care to patients within the standard scope of practice. In addition to regularly schedule shifts, is available to respond to after-hour calls regarding critical lab results for adult patients throughout the organization for a minimum of 2 weeks per year, this includes pager responsibilities. All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including "health-care" required boosters as a condition of employment, subject to limited exemptions.
