Overview

Marin Community Clinics, founded in 1972, is today, a multi-clinic network with a wide array of integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide vital health services to almost 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County. The Clinics regularly receive national awards from the Health Resources and Services Administrations (HRSA). Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Development Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support for fundraising, donor relations, and marketing/communications efforts. This role plays a key part in donor engagement, event planning, data analysis, and marketing communications to ensure the success of MCC’s fundraising initiatives. The Development Coordinator will also support the tracking and reporting of fundraising performance, optimizing donor retention strategies, and strengthening community engagement efforts.

Responsibilities

 

Donor Relations & Stewardship

  • Maintain and oversee Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring accurate donor records and timely data entry.
  • Track, enter, and analyze donor data, generate reports on donor engagement trends, and provide insights for fundraising strategy.
  • Carry out donor acknowledgment procedures, including personalized thank-you letters and recognition initiatives.
  • Assist in donor segmentation and outreach strategies, ensuring targeted and effective donor engagement.
  • Support donor cultivation efforts, ensuring high-value donors receive ongoing engagement.
  • Develop and maintain donor prospecting lists to support fundraising initiatives.

 

Fundraising Analytics & Campaign Performance Tracking

  • Track donor retention rates, giving patterns, and campaign effectiveness, providing regular reports to leadership.
  • Monitor and analyze fundraising event success metrics, using insights to improve future campaigns.
  • Assist in maintaining KPI dashboards for fundraising, tracking ROI and donor engagement efforts.
  • Support digital fundraising efforts, including peer-to-peer fundraising and donor impact reporting.

 

Fundraising & Event Coordination

  • Assist in the planning, logistics, and execution of fundraising events, including securing sponsorships, managing invitations, and coordinating vendors.
  • Oversee event registration, donor tracking, and post-event engagement, ensuring meaningful follow-ups.
  • Provide on-site event support, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees, sponsors, and donors.
  • Create event marketing materials, social media promotions, and digital fundraising campaigns.
  • Assist in budget tracking for fundraising events, ensuring cost-effective execution.

 

Marketing & Communications Support

  • Assist in the creation, editing, and distribution of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, flyers, and donor appeals.
  • Support branding strategy efforts, ensuring consistency in messaging and outreach materials.
  • Track and analyze ROI on publications, outreach efforts, and donor engagement campaigns, providing reports to measure effectiveness.
  • Coordinate/schedule social media updates, website content, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Support donor storytelling efforts, ensuring compelling narratives that demonstrate the impact of MCC’s mission.

 

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of donor contributions.
  • Support Board engagement efforts, including preparation of donor-related reports and updates.
  • Assist in streamlining communication campaigns and goals to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and tracking key deadlines.
  • Stay informed on fundraising trends and best practices to enhance MCC’s fundraising and communication efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum three years of experience in database management and data entry; experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience managing administrative and organizational tasks.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with WordPress.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Basic financial management skills, including budget tracking and reporting; proficiency in Excel required.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

 

Covid-19 and Booster Vaccinations requirements: 

 

All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including "health-care" required boosters as a condition of employment, subject to limited exemptions. New employees are required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and boosted before the first day of employment. If you completed your primary series early boosters, but have not received the most recent booster, you will be required to get the most recent booster and mask until competed if hired.
