    The Family Nurse Practitioner provides quality primary care to patients of Ritter Center, consistent with her/his training and expertise. Provides medical consultation with Medical Doctor supervision.

    Proficiency in Medical Spanish is desired but not required.

    Positions available:

    1- FT 32-40 hours per week

    1- Per Diem

     

     

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

    Provides patient care for primary care patients, children and adults. 
    Participates in quality management activities as assigned by the Medical Director or Quality Assurance Director.

    Conducts and consults patient assessments with Medical Doctor as necessary.

     

    Qualifications

    Current California Nurse Practitioner license

    Current California license issued by the Board of Registered Nurses of California

    Current registration issued by the DEA allowing the prescription of drugs

    Current BLS certification

    Current National Certificate

    Six (6) months clinical experience

    Proficiency in medical Spanish is desired but not required

    Experience with NextGen Electronic Health Records (EHR) a plus

    Prior experience working in Community Health a plus

    Prior experience working with under-served patient population a plus

     

    Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
    Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
    Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise.
    Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.

    Ability to work both independently and in a team environment..
    Effective verbal and written communication in English skills.
    Ability advise, and train clinical interns in area of expertise may be required.
