The Marin Community Clinics Health Hubs (HHUB) provides San Rafael and Novato residents in need with a menu of resources and activities to promote nutrition, fitness, and healthy living. The HHUB is set up like an open-air farmer's market and enables participants to choose their own food items. The program is multi-lingual and multi-cultural, providing relevant resources while creating opportunities to promote healthy lifetime choices to achieve health equity.


Under the direction of the HHUB Supervisor, the HHUB Volunteer Coordinator will assist with the operations of the food pantry distribution that includes the coordination of the food pantry volunteers, organizing the food pantry items, monthly reports and data collection as required. S/He will support the HHUB Supervisor to identify participants unmet needs, build awareness of community health improvement efforts, priorities, and support with available resources that addresses participant’s challenges to access quality health care services.  


Work schedule:

Wednesday's and Thursday's 11am to 6/6:30pm. (15-16 hours per week)



  • Work with HHUB Supervisor to develop / maintain volunteer assignments.
  • Management of volunteer staff including recruitment, training, orientation and oversight of performance.
  • Assure timely completion and maintenance of volunteer paperwork.
  • Assist with the food distribution. Packs and coordinate food pantry orders
  • Manages and assure data collection and prepares monthly reports.
  • Responsible for implementing food pantry policies and procedures.
  • Assist in promoting and advertising the Health Hubs and special events at community meetings.
  • Handles high volume of participants and appropriately directs challenging situations to HHUB Supervisor.
  • Works collaboratively to effectively resolve issues that impact program operations.
  • Assist with HHUBS set up/clean up



  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish language fluency) required
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, community health, or in a health care setting.
  • Knowledge of computer software, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Proficient in data management and reporting
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
