    Marin Community Clinics is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), the largest in Marin County. We serve 35,000 patients annually. We offer a multi-clinic network with a wide array of primary care, specialty services and Dental services. Our mission is to improve the health of our patients and community by providing high quality, cost-effective, culturally sensitive, patient-centered Dental health care.   

     

    We are seeking temporary Dentists who are available to work 4-6 months to cover other Dentists who are on leave of absence. Opportunity for temporary to regular benefited status employment.  Full Time or Part Time status option. 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work weekend shifts as needed. No evening shift hours.

     

    Dentists with General Practice Residency (GPR) or Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) preferred, required for new graduates. Dentrix Electronic Health Records experience a plus.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • The Dentist is responsible for providing preventative dental care and clinical dental services in a community health center setting.
    • Uses Dentrix, digital Dexis X-ray and NextGen Electronic Health Records System.
    • Delivers high quality care to patients.
    • Manages and directs staff assignments and activities in accordance with Marin Community Clinics Dental Compliance Policies and Procedures, Dental Manual and applicable California Laws.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of a ADA Accredited Dental School.
    • Must possess a valid DDS/DMD License to practice in California.
    • Active California Dental License & BLS Certification DEA License.
    • 1 to 2 years of experience in general dentistry (GPR or AEGD a plus, and required for new graduates).
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
    • Prior experience working in community health environment a plus.
    • Prior experience working with children preferred.
    • Oral surgery and Endodontics experience preferred.
    • Prior experience working in bi-cultural dental clinic setting.
    • Flexible to work evenings and weekends as necessary in either San Rafael and/or Novato clinics.
    • Familiar with Dentrix Electronic Health Records a plus.
    • Computer skills required.
    • Must be willing to learn Electronic Health Records software.
    • Must possess good interpersonal skills to maintain and establish good relationships with dental team and patients.
    • Excellent communication skills.
